Stone Marine Shipcare is European service agent for Nakashima Propeller Co. Full service and OEM spare parts packages can be provided to ensure that overhaul and survey work is carried out to the correct standards, using approved parts and procedures. All Stone Marine Shipcare Service and Controls Engineers are fully trained and approved by Nakashima Propeller Co.

Fixed Pitch Propeller Service & Repair

Specialist and highly experienced engineers and technicians are available at extremely short notice to work on vessels whether in dry dock or afloat.

FPP Mobile Propeller Repair Workshop

Stone Marine Shipcare has recently developed two mobile workshops for rapid response to propeller repairs worldwide. These fully equipped workshops can be deployed at short notice anywhere in Europe by road transport, and worldwide, by shipping.
The mobile workshops allow service teams to be totally self-sufficient when attending shipyards that can often struggle to provide the necessary equipment required to carry out large propeller repairs.

Efficiency & Propeller Modifications

Bespoke propeller modifications, often carried out afloat, allow the vessel’s engine to operate within normal tolerances. These modifications reduce the engine loading and restore the Light Running Margin to reduce engine maintenance costs, improve fuel efficiency and provide a short pay-back period.

Stone Marine Shipcare works with Datum Electronics Ltd to fit torsion meters which allow vessel efficiency to be monitored.

Supporting Local Vessel Operators & Owners

Stone Marine Shipcare provide propeller repair and shaft maintenance for local vessel operators and private owners, a drop and collect service for propellers and shafts from sail boats, fishing vessels, cruisers and narrowboats is operated from the workshop in Birkenhead. This provides an invaluable service to owners, particularly in the Northwest.
