Tridan Engineering Ltd provides a total outsource partnership and machining service to companies in the UK, Europe and the USA. Customers include market-leaders in the aerospace, defence, specialist automotive, marine, food manufacturing, communication and medical sectors.

The plant and workforce are housed in a modern purpose-built facility and can make a range of components up to 1.66 metres in size. These can be produced in small or large batches, or delivered from stock to Kan-Ban requirements. Tridan services include prototype parts, complete assemblies and all ancillary requirements such as heat treatment, plating processes and painting.

The facility is complemented by the manual finishing and air-conditioned assembly area and quality control department. And, to meet the demands of modern supply chain requirements, Tridan has invested heavily in management and technical support software.

Skills and expertise

Machinery - milling
Cutting-edge CNC milling centres enable Tridan to manufacture a wide range of precision components from large castings to prismatic parts. 

With 5 axis Mazak machining centres, Tridan can provide precision and accuracy on highly complex parts with reduced set-up times and high productivity. With the ability to work to and maintain tolerances of .002µm in all materials, Tridan can machine parts up to 500mm in diameter. Its 120 tool carousels and multi-pallet systems means Tridan can reduce lead times while maintaining high precision repeatability.

Tridan’s Mazak 5 axis i500 6 pallet Palletech system maximises the output of the machine shop by running similar parts together with little downtime of the machine spindle and allows lights out operations.

For parts not requiring 5 axis machining, Tridan has a range of 3 and 4 axis CNC machining centres which can maintain close tolerance work of up to .002µm in all materials with the capability of using pallet loading systems or machine beds up to 550mm x 1660mm long.
Machinery – turning
Tridan offers CNC Turning, ranging from 1 meter bar feed machines to turned parts up to 420mm diameter using the latest in machine technologies. It has driven tool capability (live tooling) as well as a twin spindle, bar feed Mazak MSY with milling capability. High-performance machining is guaranteed whether manufacturing small batches or larger production volumes.
Complementing Tridan’s machine shop is an air-conditioned assembly and finishing room with downdraft benches and ultrasonic cleaning facilities. It enables Tridan to offer finish treated parts and parts which require small to medium assembly i.e. fitting of helicoils, clinch nuts, swaged bearings, wire locking or full assembly.

Tridan has the facilities to carry out fine deburring with the use of microscopes and video capture along with part marking using matrix dot printers, for example. The assembly team have fine-tuned methods for deburring and finishing of product to ensure that parts sent to the customer are of the highest standards. 
Quality Control
Tridan prides itself on delivering only the highest quality parts and products. This is achieved not only through the skill and expertise of our employees, but with state-of-the-art technology.

That technology includes a Brown & Sharpe Sciroco CNC Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), complemented by PCDMIS Software including CAD++ and a Renishaw Motorised Probe. This CMM facility allows Tridan to provide customers with a standard CMM reporting format or a reporting format tailored to requirements.
